A MESSAGE FROM THE PARISH COUNCIL – COVID-19

Baltonsborough Volunteer Support Group (BVSG)

We are facing uncertain and worrying times ahead.  As coronavirus sweeps across the world, we must do everything we can to protect ourselves and our community.  We should ALL be following the government’s guidance on social distancing.  Particularly those over 70, under 70 with an underlying health condition and pregnant women.

Following the Prime Minister’s speech on 23rd March and Government information on the closure of public spaces, as of 25th March,  Baltonsborough Play Park is locked and safety checks will not be carried out until further notice.

We urge everyone to avoid the Play Park.

Please note that the Parish Council is not responsible for the small play park at Apple Meadow and we would advise residents not to use it.

We would like to reassure you that we are here.  Naomi at the Balsbury Grocer, the new Baltonsborough village shop, already has a team of volunteers ready to help with possible deliveries from the shop.  Until then the Parish Council will be using those volunteers to help and support the needs of the community.  Picking up shopping, going to the post office, log deliveries, mowing the lawn or even just a friendly chat, are some of the things you may need help with in the coming months.

If you are unwell,  in self isolation and need help, please call 07564 086713 to talk with a member of the Baltonsborough Volunteer Support Group.  You are not alone and we are here to help you.
