Thanks to Councillor Mary Phillips' expertise and hard work,  Baltonsborough Parish Council (BPC) is to receive a £28,376.00 grant from Somerset County Council's Climate Emergency Community Fund!

This funding is to support the 'Greener Hall & Playing Field for Baltonsborough' project.

The Fund’s aim is to support projects that most significantly contribute to achieving the goals of SCC's Climate Emergency Strategy and to those that best deliver a legacy beyond the life of the project.

BPC will use the grant to lower the village hall's energy consumption and to encourage a greater diversity of plants and wildlife on the playing field :

1. Roof Mounted Solar PV and battery

2. Installation of destratification fans in the main hall

3. Installation of LED lighting throughout the Hall

4. Electric Vehicle charging points

5. 'Re-wilding' areas of the playing field

Brue Valley Solar Streets is a discounted Solar PV Scheme supported by your Baltonsborough Parish Council,  designed to bring affordable,  sustainable energy to local communities.
